Mr Clancy and his wife voted at the Thurgoona Community Centre on Saturday morning and planned to spend the day visiting polling booths across the electorate.
Despite being a new face for Liberals, following Greg Aplin's decision to step down from politics, Sportsbet has his odds at the very short $1.03 to win the seat.
Mr Aplin has remained part of the Liberal campaign and was at Thurgoona Public School on Saturday morning, handing out how to vote cards in support of Mr Clancy.
Voting began at polling booths at 8am on Saturday morning and they will remain open until 6pm.
