The Holbrook farmer is involved in the Ride for Country Kids for the Royal Far West charity, in honour of Fraser who died in a farm accident in 2012, aged nine.
'Fraser's Friends' was among the teams who set off in Albury on Sunday morning towards their final destination of Lake Cargelligo, 130 kilometres north of Griffith.
"Our group has been riding for five years and have raised about $200,000," Mr Wearn said.
"The charity provides medical help but there's also a lot of social support ... you feel part of a big family."
Royal Far West was founded in the 1920s and connects children living in regional areas with health, education and disability services.
Mr Wearn's grandfather, Walter John Wearn, was an honorary dentist with RFW.
Family friend Nigel Harding of Port Macquarie organised a major sponsor of the team this year.

"I had the chance to meet the Essential Energy chief executive," he said.
"The colour of Essential Energy is orange, which was Fraser's favourite colour and is also the colour of the bike Bill rides, so I pitched that they jump on board."
Hitching a ride with the team is 'Chuggernaut' the dog, representing the mastiff that was Fraser's pet.
Councillors Kevin Mack, Amanda Cohn and Anna Speedie were also among the pack on Sunday.
Royal Far West business director Jacquie Emery said on Monday, the group would ride from Wagga to West Wyalong.
"The community there has been raising money for 80 years," she said.
"It would be wonderful for people to come out and urge the riders on along those routes, and help us reach our $500,000 target.
"The commitment of these riders makes it what it is and they have raised over $2 million.
"All that money goes back into services for kids who can't access them because of where they live."
The group will complete their 450-kilometre journey on Tuesday.
