Feast High Country's Longest Lunch at Porepunkah is among the many highlights of the Feast High Country Festival, which runs May 3 to 19.
Feathertop Winery, Bright Brewery, Mount Buffalo Olives, Wandiful Produce, The Peaks Cheese and Ringer Reef Winery will present a five-course matched degustation at Feathertop Winery on Saturday, May 18.
Feathertop Winery sous chef Rob Clarkson will work beside his mentor Patrizia Simone, with Feathertop's head chef Simon Buckley and Bright Brewery chef Doug Badrock collaborating on the culinary experience.
The degustation will be matched to Ringer Reef and Feathertop Winery wines and Bright Brewery beers.
Having been Stone & Barrel @ Feathertop head chef since spring 2013, Buckley is well placed to tap into the wealth of local produce grown on his doorstep.
"It's so important to cook seasonal produce because that's when it's at its best, it's cheapest and all of the flavours go together," he said.
