Cassar-Daley's Greatest Hits tour celebrates three decades of country music.

Ahead of gigs at Mulwala, Wagga and Yackandandah this month, Cassar-Daley said he was looking forward to the acoustic show with an intimate edge.

"Doing an acoustic show of greatest hits mixed with stories of my life and musical journey will be very special," he said.

"As an artist you can't get a more intimate experience with an audience than this style of show.

"It will be a musical adventure showing you how the songs sounded the day they were born, this to me is the purest way to hear them and I can't wait to share them with you."

Troy's daughter with his wife and TV presenter Laurel Edwards, Jem Cassar-Daley will open the show for her dad every night.

A talented singer, pianist and musical theatre performer, Jem, 18, is taking a gap year to perform to perform professionally for the first time.

She is a recent graduate of the Country Music Association of Australia Academy of Country Music in Tamworth.

Troy has come a long way from the 12-year-old boy from Grafton busking on Peel Street at the Tamworth Country Music Festival.

Even as he expands the boundaries of his music, as the diverse list of collaborators widens, as his swag of awards and size of his crowds has grown, the innate integrity and charisma powering his music has remained a steady true north.

As he once sang: "I live the tales I tell."

Throughout his 30 years of making music, Troy has been awarded numerous accolades including four ARIAs, 36 Golden Guitars, two APRA Country Song of the Year awards, nine Deadlys (Australian Indigenous Artist Awards), four CMAA Entertainer of the Year awards and two NIMAs (National Indigenous Music Awards).

In 2017 Troy was honoured as the 50th inductee into the prestigious Australasian Roll Of Renown.

With numerous gold and platinum records, Troy has achieved a staggering 31 Number 1 chart singles, all of which were collected on his new compilation album Greatest Hits, along with signature album tracks and two new originals.

The 42 songs on Greatest Hits have been the soundtrack to the everyday triumphs, struggles and good times of Australians from the city to the outback.
