AN ATTEMPT to outrun police in a stolen vehicle has fallen flat, with the driver found hiding in bushes at Monument Hill.

Kieran James Hindle reached speeds of up to 120km/h on December 28 last year as he travelled from South Albury towards the monument.
As police tried to arrest him, he travelled through stop signs and drove in the centre of a major road.
Hindle had met up with a mate in South Albury and received the stolen white Mitsubishi Triton.
The vehicle which had number plates made from paper attached to the front and back.
The 29-year-old drove past the scene of a crash on the corner of Kiewa and Atkins streets about 3pm, which police were attending, and they were alerted to the stolen ute.
He sped along various roads including Hovell Street, Wodonga Place and Hume Street, drove across a nature strip, and made his way to Pemberton Street.
He drove onto the wrong side of the road, hit about 120km/h, and police stopped the chase.
Hindle eventually got the car stuck in scrub in a park area at Monument Hill and ran, before being arrested a short time later.
"I figured it was stolen and just decided not to stop," he told police.
The unemployed carpenter pleaded guilty in Albury Local Court this week to charges including police pursuit, driving a stolen car and disqualified driving.
The offending breached two bonds imposed for assault and intimidation related offences.
He will be sentenced on June 5.
