After a nine point loss to reigning premiers Wangaratta, the Raiders are looking to continue their momentum at home this weekend against Yarrawonga.
"Being able to come together and be competitive against the Magpies for most of the game, we were pretty happy with that," Raiders coach Jodie House said.
"We're sporting a new team with some new young players in it.
"We had two of our 16's players come up into A-grade this year in Blaynee (House) and Marney Gorman.
"We feel like we have a fairly even playing group this year.
"Our consistency across four quarters will certainly improve on where we were at last year, with some players now coming in and having a bit more A-grade court time experience.
"We're looking forward to consolidating that this weekend up against Yarrawonga."
