A founding member of renowned chamber music ensemble Flinders Quartet, Knighton was busy recording ahead of her appearance in the 2019 Albury Chamber Music Festival concert series.

In the first concert on April 28 at 2pm, she will perform the first and sixth solo cello suites by Johann Sebastian Bach.

A stellar line-up of accomplished classical musicians and vocalists will feature in the concert series, which includes mezzo-soprano Sally-Anne Russell and harpist Marshall Maguire.

It's all a taster for the festival event on the weekend of November 15-17, 2019.

Concert series manager Claire Higgins said the concerts, held on three Sundays at St Matthew's, offered audiences some of Australia's finest chamber musicians.

Russell, the featured artist in concert two on Sunday, June 23 from 2pm, has performed in 20 countries in over 70 operatic roles, with 40 recordings to her credit.

This year, she will perform with the Melbourne and Auckland symphonies, Vivaldi in the Vines in Adelaide, concerts in Sydney, Melbourne, Hobart, Devonport, Bach Weihnachts Oratorium, and a series of concerts in Austria and Germany.

"Audiences will hear Sally-Anne sing some of her favourite songs, accompanied by local pianist Helena Kernaghan,'' Ms Higgins said.

Playing music in exotic and beautiful places is a passion for the artist in the third concert series, Marshall McGuire, on Sunday, September 8 at 2pm.

Marshall has performed as a harpist with the Australian Chamber Orchestra, English String Orchestra, Australian Brandenburg Orchestra, Melbourne Symphony Orchestra and Australia Ensemble.

He has appeared at international festivals including Melbourne, Milan, Geneva, Brighton, Moscow, Vienna and Adelaide.

"In the final concert of the 2019 series, this renowned Australian harpist will take the audience on a dance through the music of Europe and share Australian music for harp,'' Ms Higgins said.
