Brooks heads into her first season with the Pigeons after moving across from the Goulburn Valley league.
"She's a very dynamic player and we're happy to have her," Pigeons coach Kaitlyn Cummins said.
"She holds beautifully, but then if she needs to drive out and be that target she can do that too.
"We've got about five 16 to 17 year-olds in our team this year, so it's great to have so many young ones coming up with such great talent.
"Bec Carlyle was again amazing in defence, she just reads the ball beautifully and got some really key turnovers.
"There's so many talented players floating around in our league and there's some really good coaches that are creating great teams already.
"We know that every game is going to be tough, but we're certainly excited to think that we're going to be up amongst it this year."
Yarrawonga dominated the score board after taking an 11 goal lead at the first break and restricted the Raiders to just six goals in the second quarter.
Shaylah House shot 27 goals for the Raiders, while sister Mackensey showed consistency in the attacking end.
"It certainly wasn't the performance we expected," Raiders coach Jodie House said.
"It was chalk and cheese to our game last week against Wangaratta.
"I think you need to experience that to learn from it."
At Bunton Park, Wangaratta continued their dominance to defeat North Albury 55-23, while Corowa Rutherglen proved again their a team to watch after defeating Wangaratta Rovers 52-33.
