The Spitfires women were beaten 5-3 in an entertaining contest against University of Canberra at Canberra's Carter Field.
Riley Sutherland made a return to the side and finished with a double, while Letesha O'Halloran also fired one in.

Both Spitfires sides have next weekend off as the Capital League breaks for Easter, with the men to face Wests at Powell Field, while the women host ANU at Albury Hockey Centre on April 27.
