Ashlee Laing, co-owner of the Tallangatta cafe, brought his dad out of retirement for a special bake of buns last Easter, and it was so popular they have decided to do so again.
"A lot of Dad's old staff came out to help, and his former customers came to visit," Mr Laing said.
"By the time they came out of the oven, we had to put another load in.
"It's traditional-style baking and it tastes better."
Tom, who was in Yackandandah for decades, said hand-made was best.
"Some of the ingredients you can't buy anymore, but the method is the same," he said.
Teddy's will be open from 9am to 1pm on Friday.
