Jones Winery winemaker and co-owner Mandy Jones and the winery restaurant's head chef, Briony Bradford, will host Flickering Flame Feast next month to teach people how to steal the show at their next campfire.
Featuring an old French spit and Ms Jones' grandfather's four-legged camp oven, participants will learn to roast, charcoal and smoke with quality local ingredients and produce.
Ms Jones said the camp oven had a proven track record.
"My grandfather's camp oven is pretty special; it's got nice little legs on it," she said.
"It's quite special and very well seasoned; we made damper in it with him as kids."
Ms Jones picked up the antique French spit during her travels throughout France.
She brought it back with her when she returned to Rutherglen in 2003.
"I bought it at an antiques fair; it's over 100 years old," Ms Jones said.
"I've done wild boar, chickens and duck; the meat comes out moist and tender."
