The Roos hosted the Hoppers in what was shooter Grace Senior's first game against her former side.

Senior found accuracy in the ring to walk away with 48 goals, while fellow shooter Jessica Bice also held her own in the goal circle.

Corowa Rutherglen coach Georgie Bruce said she was happy with the effort from her whole team.

"It was a nice reward for a consistent hard fought game," Bruce said.

"We had eight players out there and they all did their job.

"Grace Senior, everyone's had a lot to say about how awesome she is, and she is, but she was supported really well by Jess Bice.

"She (Jess) has shown that she's not just there to feed the ball, she can shoot as well.

"Defensively we were great from one end to the other.

"We're four from four but we'll keep it all in context, there's still a long way to go."

With an influx of new players into the side this season, the new look Roos are already showing their dominance in the competition.

"We've had some tough competition up front and that's how you want it," Bruce said.

"You want to see the capabilities of your team.

"We have a team of extremely agile players and we know we've got that adaptability."

Defender Elyse Boyer was dominant for North Albury, while Tayla Vogel worked tirelessly in the midcourt on the hot autumn day.

Shooter Mia Duryea also had a strong game to secure 19 goals for the Hoppers.

North Albury coach Fiona Boyer said her side came away feeling good about the game despite the loss.

"We always love a competitive game, so we were really happy with it," Boyer said.

"It was exciting to see everyone get around each other when people did well.

"The girls are playing well together each week and and we can see things building on the court that we've been working on at training.

"It's nice to see strategies coming into play."

North Albury will now gear up for the annual Anzac Day clash against Albury on Thursday.

Both coaches also praised the crowd and players for coming out to celebrate the Easter weekend.

"It's really nice to have everyone supporting each other," Bruce said.

"We're really grateful we get players from other leagues coming and supporting us, and we return the favour when we have our byes."

In the Easter Sunday games, Myrtleford secured their second win for the season at home to the Wangaratta Rovers, 46-30.

There was only one goal in it a the close of the first quarter, with the Saints posting a strong second term to steam ahead of the visitors.

It also was an extremely tight contest at Lonsdale Recreation Reserve between Yarrawonga and Wangaratta, with the score neck and neck for much of the game.

The reigning premiers just edged in front of the Pigeons to grasp a two goal victory, 59-57.

Things were all tied up in both the first and third quarters, with strong shooting in the goal circle coming from both sides.

Shooter Amanda Umanski starred for the Magpies in the ring, scoring 49 goals with high shooting accuracy.
