A MAN has been badly injured after crashing his car into a tree during a busy weekend for emergency service workers.

Police and paramedics were called to the crash, five kilometres north of Walbundrie on Lockhart Road, about 8pm on Friday.
The vehicle had left the road and hit a tree, leaving the driver trapped inside.
The man, aged in his mid-thirties, was stabilised at the scene before being flown to hospital.
He suffered head, chest and abdominal injuries and may have been drunk at the time.
Emergency services were also called to two crashes at a West Triangle Road property at Springhurst on Saturday night.
A Triple-0 call was made about 8.20pm after a large gum tree fell onto a man's vehicle, leaving him trapped.
A woman who had been searching for the man was herself injured after crashing into a tree.
Both were transported to Wangaratta hospital.
A man in his 60s was also taken to Albury Base Hospital on Saturday night following a two car collision in Wodonga.
The vehicles crashed on the corner of Moorefield Park Drive and Mayfair Drive about 7.15pm.
A woman in her 50s was assessed at the scene but had no signs of injury.
Several people were also treated by paramedics after a vehicle rolled at Mount Stirling on Saturday afternoon.
The vehicle had pulled over to the side of Speculation Track to let another vehicle pass.
The track gave way about 2.50pm and the vehicle rolled about 20 to 25 metres down the hill, injuring three people
