The new Tim Fischer AC Gallery at Lockhart's Greens Gunyah Museum will be unveiled on May 2 as part of the Billabong Wing, with members of the public invited to attend.
Mr Fischer, the member for Farrer for 17 years and former Australian ambassador to the Holy See, said he was honoured by the museum's efforts to create the gallery.
"I am happy to have donated key icons relating to my 31 years in state and federal parliament," he said.
Mr Fischer is receiving ongoing medical treatment in Melbourne, but he and family members are expected to attend the gallery's opening ceremony.
