Harry Gibbs, Bailey Lloyd and Mitch Donovan are all impressing on the court for the Bandits.
"We have some kids that are starting to play really well," Chalmers said.
"For the boys, it's just about growing into their bodies.
"The talent is there, it's just a matter of time.
"I expect those guys to be really critical as the year goes on."
The Bandits will meet the Basketball Australia Centre of Excellence this weekend after a week of recovery over Easter.

"We were probably on a good run there and building some momentum, but everyone's had a break," Chalmers said.
"Our challenge is to keep that momentum we had and play really well, because the COE is going to be really tough.
"They're the most talented kids in the country."
