Two Wodonga boys aged 16 and 17 years old were arrested last week and charged with burglary and theft over the alleged crimes on April 11.
Detective Senior Constable Ian Deverell said a camera, iPads, keys and other property taken from the centre and Uniting Church were allegedly found when police arrested the teenagers.
"Police were able to recover some stolen property that was taken from the Senior Citizens Centre and the church and that's been returned to its rightful owners," he said.
"They are very rapt with the quick response from police and also to have their property returned back to them this morning.
"It's a good result because these community groups have been a victim of a crime and to get the property back to them is a good feeling."

But police do not expect to find cash and the rest of the items stolen on April 11.
The boys were charged and bailed to appear at Wodonga Children's Court in June.
Detective Deverell said he did not believe the two teenagers were the only people involved in the burglary.
"We have identified all the persons involved. Two have been arrested and we plan to arrest further offenders in the coming days," he said.
It was the third time the Wodonga Senior Citizens Centre had been the victim of burglaries since December.
"It was definitely a targeted offence in this case," Detective Deverell said.
"We've spoken to them about measures they can put in place to stop this sort of crime happening."
