A TEENAGER is recovering after having his fingers severed in an accident at the Tallangatta abattoir.
Emergency service workers were called to the Bryants Gap Road site about 9.30am on Tuesday.
The 17-year-old was flown by paramedics to the Royal Melbourne Hospital in a plane.
It's believed the teen had three fingers severed.
An Ambulance Victoria spokeswoman said he suffered "a serious hand injury".
His fingers have reportedly been reattached.
