The AFL triple-premiership player and Brownlow Medallist was banned following a board meeting on Wednesday.
The 42-year-old was also recently banned from competition at the Thurgoona club.
"I don't think it's me that needs to change," he said.
"The other member who ended up dobbing me in, the egg's on his face.
"I've got no doubt he'll get penalised pretty bad.
"You should get it sorted out then and there, not in the hands of unrealistic panels."
Akermanis said he had been "provoked" during the exchange and slammed the board's decision.
"I guarantee he won't touch my stuff again," he said of the other member.
Club president Graeme Edgar said he was banned indefinitely and could reapply for another membership at a later date.
The former Brisbane Lions and Western Bulldogs player said he could reapply after 12 months, which he won't do.
Akermanis said he should have been banned for only 28 days for swearing on the course.
He was suspended for three months about five years ago.
"It's left such a bad taste in my mouth," he said.
"I won't be wasting my money at those places, that's for sure."

He said police hadn't spoken to him about the incident.
The former North Albury football coach has continued to play golf at Corowa, Howlong and Wodonga and said he hadn't had any issues during competition on those courses.
"I'm sick of getting targeted," he said.
