After falling to the visitors by a heavy margin during the pre-season, the Bandits mustered up a big second half of basketball to level the score.

Jessie Edwards and Emilee Harmon both finished the game with 17 points on the board for the Bandits, while US import Cherise Daniel starred for the home side.

Daniel managed 19 points, two assists and four rebounds in what was one of her best games so far this season.

"She (Daniel) is starting to feel more confident in the squad and that's starting to show," Bandits coach Lauren Jackson said.

"That's the thing with all the girls, they need to back themselves, and she's done that.

"It was nice to have a win where we got to play the whole team and our bench got to get out on the court and have a run around.

"Everyone played their part and that's the sort of basketball we need to play if we're going to be able do anything special this season."

Emma Mahady was a quiet achiever for the Bandits, continuing her solid form this season.

Jackson said that while her team looks to be starting to flow out on the court, there are still areas to work on in the coming weeks.

"We were really happy with the win but there's still so much that we have to do to get better, but there was good signs," Jackson said.

"I'm very realistic about the fact that we need to keep improving.

"We're going to come up against much harder teams.

"Hopefully the girls are starting to feel more confident in the offence and defence.

"Pre-season is starting to pay off with everyone really starting to flow, so hopefully we can improve on that and keep getting better."

After round four of the NBL1 competition, the Bandits are currently sitting one three wins and one loss.

The Albury-Wodonga side will now prepare for another home game when they face Ballarat this weekend.
