Ballarat are yet to drop a game this season, while the Bandits are looking to put their first loss behind them.
"We've moved on and we're looking forward to this week," Bandits coach Brad Chalmers said.
"We obviously want to protect our home court and get back on the winners track to take second spot.
"We certainly don't want to drop this one and fall back in the pack.
"There's no doubt they're going to be one of the better teams in it, but I still think we are as well.
"We're in that top echelon of teams in it at the minute and I think it's a great opportunity for us to play well, and we have to obviously protect our home court."
The Bandits had their chances in the weekends loss to the Basketball Australia Centre of Excellence, but some missed opportunities in the second half proved costly.
While it was another big game from Ken-Jah Bosley, Chalmers said he would have liked the team to make an impact as a whole.
"It's great for guys to go and have big numbers, and I think Ken-Jah played particularly well," he said.
"But we don't need him having 40, I'd rather him have 25 and we have a much more even spread of contributors."
The Bandits game starts at 8pm at the Lauren Jackson Sports Centre.
