Central sits one win clear of the fourth-placed Spitfires after the opening four rounds.
The Spitfires fell 6-1 to Wests last weekend, but were missing a host of experience in the backline.
Dom Wild, Josh MacVean and Leigh Foulston all return to play key roles in defence against Central.
"We'll be able to push our other players up the field a bit to give us something in attack as well," co-coach Jeremy Payne said.
"They're (equal) second on the ladder just behind Goulburn and they're a really good side.
Also in sport:
"We watched them play Goulburn last week and they started strongly, but they ran out of legs a bit.
"We've taken away that they're lacking a bit on the fitness side, so hopefully we'll use that to our advantage and run them into the ground.
"I think the biggest thing for us is making sure we do the right things after the game and making sure the body is right to go again (on Sunday).
"You just never know with double-headers, it's a bit like tournament hockey when you've got to show up and do it again and again."
The Spitfires travel to Canberra to face United on Saturday.
In Hockey Albury-Wodonga division one men and women, Norths take on Falcons, Magpies clash with Wombats, while Wodonga meets CR United.
