While a 1-4 win-loss record isn't ideal, it doesn't quite tell the full story.
The Spitfires have been competitive in every game, losing by no more than three goals since their opening round victory against North Canberra Eagles.
Injuries and unavailability hasn't been in their favour though and they'll be below full strength again this weekend with Ange McDonald, Riley and Macey Sutherland, Hayley Hart and Pip Bowler all out.
The experienced Sam Daly can only play the first half before she travels to Sydney.
However, it's not all doom and gloom for the Spitfires with Jackleene Macarthur signing on with the Border side from Wagga.
Macarthur played alongside Daly in Australia Country's unbeaten tour of New Zealand last month.

Coach Matt Davis admitted it will be huge test for the Spitfires against another top-four side.
"We've been working on being more competitive, we're not winning the 50-50s, so the focus at training was a bit of competitive stuff and a bit more fight," he said.
"We need a bit more hunger if we're going to get up on Saturday."
The clash is at 2pm, while the Spitfires men will look to snap a three-game losing streak against St Patrick's at 3.30pm.
