With just three goals in it at the sound of the final whistle, the Crows managed to post their fourth win this season.
With momentum shifting back and forth all game, a strong performance by the Crows defensive end proved the difference against the Giants' accurate shooters.
Brooke Morley was among the best for the Crows, while 17-year-old Bethany Moloney starred in goal attack for the home side.
The match up between Moloney and last year's league medalist Jess Kotzur of the Giants proved to be a good one.
"For such a young girl, she really held her ground and did a great job," Crows coach Holly Dowling said.
"It would have been a very entertaining game for the crowd."
Dowling said it's shaping up to be an interesting year in Hume league netball, with each side bringing something new to the table this season.
"We just don't know what to expect from any of the teams this year," Dowling said.
"Looking at the scores each week is very interesting."
Last year's premiers are sitting third on the ladder with four wins and a loss to current leaders Howlong.
"We're happy with how we're sitting at the moment," Dowling said.
"We would have liked to have come away with the win against Howlong last week, but a loss never hurts anybody.
"It just makes us want to work harder."
