Cupido's partner is expecting a baby this week while Aalbers strained his hamstring in Rand-Walbundrie-Walla's win over Billabong Crows at the weekend.
The pair have been strong performers for the league in recent years with Cupido kicking seven goals against the Ovens and King last year and Aalbers booting nine against Tallangatta and District in 2017.
Brock-Burrum tall Kade Garland has been brought into the squad by coach Brent Piltz.
"I don't think I've missed an inter-league game for seven or eight years so it's disappointing I won't be able to play," Cupido said.
"I loved it last year.
"My partner will be having a baby any day now and I'm really looking forward to that.
"It's an exciting time.
"I'm sure the boys will do well under Brent Piltz."
Piltz said the Hume league still had plenty of attacking options with Holbrook's Andrew Dess, Osborne's Connor Galvin and George Alexander, Jindera's Michael O'Darcy, Henty's Kim Kantilla and Lockhart's Andrew Emery in the squad.
Crow Bronson Schofield was best afield against Rand-Walbundrie-Walla at the weekend and looks set to lead the midfield with Steve Jolliffe, Nico Sedgwick, Jordan Harrington and Marty Bahr.
Hume will train at Jindera on Tuesday and Thursday nights.
Meanwhile, the Farrer league is set to play a young side following a spate of withdrawals last week.
North Wagga midfielder Jake May is the latest player to pull out after breaking his hand.
He won the Farrer league's MVP coaches award last season.
Clear medallist and star ruckman Nick Hull, TRYC coach Tom Yates and East Wagga-Kooringal captain Ben Absolum have also been ruled out.
