It's alleged Gary Richard Robertson pulled in front of his truck, which was carrying 62 tonnes of paper, and braked heavily.
Footage recently played in the Wodonga Magistrates Court shows Robertson's red Ford Fairmont pull in front of the truck and brake, causing the truck to veer into the opposite lane to avoid a collision.
The Ford driver could then be seen gesturing out the window.
The Fairmont then drove into the middle of the lanes and again braked heavily, causing the truck to again swerve.
The truck driver later nudged the sedan from behind, several kilometres down the road.
Robertson attended the Wodonga Police Station and reported the matter, which led to both men being charged.
The truck driver last month pleaded guilty to a charge of careless driving.
Annison was ordered to donate $500 to a safe driving program for his role in the offending.
"It's lucky the collision wasn't more serious," magistrate Ian Watkins told the truck driver.
IN OTHER NEWS:
Robertson is facing more serious charges, including reckless conduct endangering serious injury, for his role, and has pleaded not guilty.
His lawyer is seeking parity with the truck driver, but police consider the car driver's actions to be far more serious.
Robertson will return to the court for a contest mention on June 25.
