But Hayden Bridges won't have to serve the time behind bars.
Instead, Albury Local Court magistrate Rodney Brender has ordered that Bridges complete the sentence by way of an intensive corrections order.
Bridges, 19, a regular user of methamphetamine, was convicted on charges of take conveyance without permission and intentional destroy or damage property.
He took the motorbike for a test ride on November 12, heading off from the owner's home then taking the Hume Freeway, at high speed, before dumping the machine in Wodonga.
