Just 11 hours before Saturday's clash against Melbourne Victory at La Trobe, North was sound asleep in his Brisbane home.
It gave him more than enough time to get down to the Border and play a huge part in Murray's 3-2 victory.
"I got up at 4.30 this morning, jumped on a flight at six down to Sydney and then flew down to Wodonga, so here I am," North said.
Also in sport:
"Obviously when you join a new club, it's always important to get a win and just do my job.
"I haven't played a competitive match in over a year and have only been lightly training with Rochedale Rovers up in Brisbane for the last six weeks."
But you can expect to see plenty more of him.
"If I'm fit and holding up well, I'd like to come down as much as possible, but I have commitments back home as well," North added.
