VicRoads advised yesterday that the bridge would be closed from the Monday to Friday from 9am to 3pm.
That will be to allow crews to carry out routine cleaning, surveying and inspections, though this work is dependent on good weather.
The works though will not affect cyclists or pedestrians, who will still have access to the bridge, which connects Wahgunyah to Corowa.
Detours will be via Federation Bridge on All Saints Road and Federation Way.
VicRoads said motorists should allow up to an extra 10 minutes travel time while the bridge was closed.
Also, delays of up to 15 minutes will be experienced by motorists, cyclists and pedestrians when a drone is used on the bridge from June 3 to 4.
