Corner Cafe Co offers innovative takes on popular drinks and snacks such as Mint Slice frappe, Red Skins latte and Chicos fudge.
It is the brainchild of Tarshar Baker, who opened the High Street eatery with her fiance Eli McCartney about two months ago.
"I had a lot of faith that we've really got something different to offer," Baker said.
"We've been described as a modern-day diner; we have sandwiches, wraps and salads and some funky food as well.
"We have honey chicken, chicken fajita or maple bacon loaded fries now and a taco burger and satay burger are coming soon."
Born and bred in Melbourne but finishing her schooling in Albury, Baker said she was inspired by the passionate cooks in her family.
Her most prized possession is a collection of family recipes.
"It has my great grandmother's Anzac biscuit recipe," she said.
"Some of my desserts are twists on family recipes but the fudge recipe I worked on myself until I was happy."
Baker said she moved back to the Border a decade ago to raise her sons Bodhi, 10, and Chase, 9.
