Border Walwa hosts Corryong on Saturday in what both sides will be treating as a winnable match-up, having each lost their opening four games by more than 100 points.

After battling until the eve of the season to field a side, Border Walwa has been dealt a cruel hand.

Co-coach Ben McCarthy suffered a season-ending injury in round one and has been joined by Mitch Lauritzen and co-captain Luke Wood, who both went down with serious knee complaints against Cudgewa last weekend.

"We had three blokes go down and I don't think two will play again this year," Greenhill said.

"It's not in our favour at the moment.

"Hopefully we can turn it around, but credit to the boys, they're still showing up and having a go."

Greenhill is hoping for a change of fortune.

"Hopefully we can get a bit of reward for our effort, not just us, but as a club as well," he said.

"We're probably three months behind every other club because we didn't know if we were going ahead or not until March.

"When everyone was finishing pre-season, we were getting a team together."

Cudgewa can move into the top-two if successful against Federal, while Tumbarumba hosts reigning premiers Bullioh.
