Issy, keep it to yourself
I remember it vividly, winter 1965, Bay Street, Port Melbourne. I, a five-year-old child, reached across a fence and stole an orange from an overloaded orange tree and I was forever branded a thief.

So Israel Folau, am I too bound for all eternity to stand in a lake of fire in pain and misery in that mythical place of damnation called hell?
Good luck to you and your beliefs. Some people believe that the four horsemen of the apocalypse really did ride their horses across the sky as described in the book of revelation, some people also believe that horses didn't fly then, don't fly now nor will they ever fly.
Who was it that gets to cast the first stone at Mary Magdalene?
The majority of the world's religions say that atheists have no belief at all.
They do but they have one critical ingredient - reality.
So unless you're prepared to trip up and fall in the holes you have dug for people, well you probably shouldn't have dug them in the first place.
It is largely assumed that without religion, one can have no morals.
Really, is that a fact?
My mother once said that anyone who listened to AC/DC was going to hell.
Phew, what a statement, there's 80 per cent of the world's population doomed.
I said to my son: "So I suppose Issy's off to the other mythical location called heaven?"
He answered: "No, he's off the Centrelink!" People said in 1956 that Elvis was going to hell.
Yeah right!

Still in it for Farrer
"Voices For Farrer" graciously thanks all our own volunteers from across the electorate, for their willingness to give their time unselfishly.
A very special thank you to Kevin Mack, his family and team for having the courage to stand up for Farrer.
We are now all looking forward to Kevin Mack, as Albury mayor, and Sussan Ley, as elected member, working together to make Farrer matter and put Farrer first.
MORE LOCAL NEWS:
As strong individuals, they have each demonstrated that they can do the hard stuff.
Thank you, too, to all the participants in our survey, both online and by coming into the "Voices For Farrer" office.
Since the opening of the Voices For Farrer office in Deniliquin, we estimate that some 500-plus people came through our doors.
We cordially invite Ms Ley to meet the Voices For Farrer team in the Deniliquin office, to assist us in our next step of the journey to put Farrer first.
We want to know how we can assist in working together for Farrer.
One crucial element of this election campaign has highlighted the need for an office for Farrer in Deniliquin.
The success of our office was proof of this.
It is now up to all of us to work on Farrer issues together, strategically, in the interests of implementing a better outcome on matters such as water, health and connectivity.
