Tom Bracher will play his first senior game at home for Wodonga Raiders against North Albury after playing for Murray Bushrangers against Calder Cannons at under 18 level.
"Tom played our last practice match against Northcote Park and he performed really well, he probably would have played round one but he broke his shoulder," Raiders' coach Jarrod Hodgkin said.
The lightly-built Bracher returned through Raiders thirds before grabbing an opportunity with the Bushies.
"He's a very clean and smart player and kicks very well on both feet," Hodgkin said.
"He'll play forward flank and wing, the game comes pretty naturally to him."
North grabbed its first win prior to the interleague bye with a stunning upset of Wodonga.
"They only lost to Rovers by three goals and beat Wodonga by 10 goals."
