Lavington and Corowa Rutherglen will meet for the much anticipated clash this weekend, with both teams yet to post a loss.
The Panthers currently have seven wins under their belt with a bye round still to come after playing the season opener, while the Roos have notched up six victories this season.
While the game is coming off the back of a bye round for most, both teams were well represented in the interleauge contest in Rosebud last weekend.
Lavington midcourt player Maddi Lloyd was one of three players from the Panthers to represent the O and M, and after being named one of the best against the Mornington Peninsula Nepean league, is heading into the clash with form on her side.
Lloyd said that after having several changes to players from last year's team, the Panthers have found their rhythm this season.
She contributes the strong start to the positive mindset the Panthers have called upon.
"It's been great this year and we've all gelled really nicely," Lloyd said.
"It's our positive mindset that has definitely helped us.
"Coming into this season and having so many players leave, we didn't really know what to expect.
"We haven't had as much pressure on us this season, which has been nice.
"We've just gone into every game backing each other all the way.
"It's going to be a really nice hit out this weekend to see where both sides are at.
"It should be a great game."
Also in sport:
Lavington's Sarah Meredith and Heidi Fisher and Corowa's Grace Senior and Sophie Hanrahan will also experience the shift from being interleague teammates to now facing each other out on the court.
But they won't be alone, with former Roos player turned Panther Steph Clancy set to face her old club for the first time since making the move this season.
Hanrahan said it will certainly be a change to line-up against Clancy for the clash.
"It will be good to see her again, but it will be different playing against her," Hanrahan said.
"It's unfortunate that the game has fallen after the bye, but it could be good that both teams are in the same position.
"Hopefully we're on the same level."
It's sure to be a shoot out in the goal circles, with shooting combinations a strong asset for both of the teams.
Lavington's experienced shooting duo Sarah Senini and Skye Hillier were both selected in the Ovens and Murray representative squad, while Grace Senior and Jess Bice seem to have found a winning formula in the ring this season.
Senior is also coming off the back of a 34 goal haul in Rosebud last Saturday.
Corowa Rutherglen will have the home ground advantage for the tussle, with the game kicking off at 2pm at John Foord Oval.
