Wodonga Raider Filo kicked a goal, but set up countless others in the 22.13 (145) to 6.4 (40) home win.
"He was awesome," coach Jarrod Hodgkin said.
"He wasn't out of form, he was probably out of form for him, but not for anyone else.
"He was still getting 25-30 touches a game, but he ran riot, he was sensational, it was definitely his best game of the season."

Filo received strong support from another exciting small player in Jarrod Ardern, who kicked four goals.
"He's really important for us," Hodgkin enthused.
"He makes the right decisions when he gets the footy and he's quick.
"He also tackles really well, he doesn't throw them down to the ground, but he holds them up, he's a very good player."
Connor Newnham and Brodie A'Vard also kicked three goals apiece.
Lachie Flagg and Daniel Bowles notched strong performances, while coach Hodgkin was a valuable contributor.
North was on a high after landing its first win against Wodonga prior to the rep bye, but the home side never allowed the Hoppers into the game.
In just his fourth match, Tylar Young produced his finest display, while Clay Moscher-Thomas and Ned McKeown joined him in the visitors' best.
