A tradition for 12 years, the annual event saw participants dress in costume and brave water temperatures of three degrees, with 60 centimetres of snow falling in the previous week.
Falls Creek is experiencing its most promising beginning to a snow season for nearly 20 years.

Resort management chief executive Stuart Smythe, who slid in on Saturday dressed in penguin suit and skis, said the plunge was a lot of fun, but also raised money to help Fight MND find a cure for motor neurone disease.
"We're a strong community at Falls Creek and it's wonderful seeing so many come down from the village to take part in this freezing tradition," he said.
"We can't wait for this season opening next Saturday."
