The star point guard injured her calf towards the end of the Bandits Saturday night clash against Nunawading at the Lauren Jackson Sports Centre.
It was a tough weekend for the home side, who went down by 10-points to the Spectres before falling by 19-points to the Melbourne Tigers in an away game on Sunday.
"She (Hurst) could be out for one or two weeks depending on how she pulls up," coach Lauren Jackson said.
"We had another opportunity to get a win but we just didn't follow through."
Cherise Daniel was the leading scoreboard contributor for the Bandits in their first game of the double header weekend with 19 points, while centre Jessie Edwards sat just behind on 17.
Molly Rice was strong in defence at home, with that proving to be the key element of the Bandits game as a team which let them down during the weekend.
"Defensively we need to get more from everybody," Jackson said.
"Scoring is a big part of the game, but we're not going to win games until we play defence and stop teams from scoring on us.
"There's only so much as coaches that we can do.
"The girls can do it, it's just one of those things where now it's up to them."
Saturday night's home clash also marked the annual Allen McCowan Memorial game, with locals out in force to show their support for the home team.
Jackson said support for her side continues to strengthen this season.
"Obviously people wanted to come out and show support for Al, but we're getting a lot of support from the community as well," Jackson said.
"There's a lot of community engagement with women, which is really exciting to see.
"Hopefully we can start to pull it all together and start winning some more games."
The Bandits started off strong in their second game in Melbourne before the Tigers put their foot on the pedal to take charge of the second half.
The two losses during the weekend take the Albury-Wodonga team's total to six wins and six losses this season.
The Bandits will now have the weekend off for the Queens Birthday long weekend.
When they return they will face the Bendigo Braves at the Lauren Jackson Sports Centre for Rivalry Round in the NBL1 competition.
