Bubble Trouble may be only a little 1993 Mazda, but its colourful paintwork will surely grab attention during a long trek from Melbourne to Townsville via Birdsville.

The car, owned by Albury's Brook Ratcliff, is among 250 taking part in a rally, distinctively named, for vehicles worth less than $1000 that raises money for Cancer Council.
After his mother died last year, Mr Ratcliff wanted to take on a special fundraising project and this rally appealed.
"Sense of adventure, something fun to do, good cause," he said.
"This looked like a wonderful journey.
"It's something that everyone can get behind."

His car, bought off a Melbourne grandfather for $300, has since been painted by Border artist Tracie MacVean and sponsored by various businesses.
A gala dinner next Saturday, June 15, at La Maison, Lincoln Causeway, will add to his fundraising efforts, which have already garnered $6000 through donations, a garage sale and an election day sausage sizzle.
The evening includes a meal, live music, a circus performer and an auction of items worth $5000 in total.
Mr Ratcliff said the rally in October not only raised money to fight cancer but also boosted economic activity in every remote town it visited.
"There's close to 600 people that drive into a town, buy food, buy snacks," he said.
Not a competitive race, the event's mechanics work hard to get every vehicle back up and running as needed to cross the finish line.
Mr Ratcliff said his venture had already received amazing support.
"It's not about how much can you squeak out of all your friends, it's about trying to bring community together and awareness," he said.
"I'm going all out as best I can."
