The 58-gamer will play at home against Wodonga Raiders.
"It's about networking for us," coach Marc Almond said.
"Some other clubs wouldn't do it, they're probably not in the position we're in, we're constantly looking to add quality players to our list.
"It's a journey for us, it's not just about this year, it's about opening up new networks."

The Roos boast only one win as the competition hits the halfway mark after snaring three wins last year following successive winless wooden spoons.
The team's also averaging just 57 points per game.
"We clearly need a new forward, so we want to give our group a feel of what it's like to have a big guy there and while it's not Cameron Cloke of 10 years ago, he still plays a high level of footy and hopefully he can have an impact on our group," he said.

The 196cm Cloke played his last game at the elite level with Port Adelaide in 2010.
He currently plays with Hurstbridge in the Northern Football League.
Cloke is great mates with Rohan Davies, who's battled injury in his first season, playing only three games.
However, Davies was responsible for recruiting former Vermont midfielder Andrew Pretto, who's been in the best in half of the eight rounds.
Pretto, in turn, enticed former Sandringham best and fairest Shane Tregear.
