The home outfit's Matt Casey kicked seven in Yarrawonga's second half resurgence, while Brayden O'Hara booted six in the Tigers' 18.17 (125) to 13.12 (90) win.
Albury led by 56 points at half-time, restricting the Pigeons to just two goals, but Casey's effort then resulted in his team landing 11 majors to seven.
Former coach Shaun Daly and Elliott Powell chipped in with three goals apiece for the visitors.
O'Hara has had a stop-start season, playing the first three games, but only two since over the first nine rounds.
He's battled a quad injury, but showed just how important he is to the Tigers' hopes of retaining the flag with a best on ground display.
Michael Duncan, Daly and Dean Polo also continued their powerful form.
Mark Whiley tipped out Casey for the best, which is some effort, while Xavier Leslie also played well.
