The Border outfit boasts a 5-7 record with eight games remaining in the NBL1 season, but will need a drastic turnaround in its mindset to feature in the playoffs.
"We haven't been good enough," Chalmers said.
"There's been areas of weakness across the court from a lot of guys.
ALSO IN SPORT:
"It's really more about our effort, we just haven't played hard enough.
"That's been the most disappointing thing, we just haven't come ready to go every night.
"We've got enough talent and we always knew we were going to have some growing pains about trying to bring new groups together.
"We're not the only club in the league that has had that issue, hence why the league is so even."
Bendigo is just above the Bandits on the ladder with a 6-7 record.
The game starts at 8pm.
