New allegations of sexual assault made against Wangaratta music teacher Wayne Robinson have taken his total number of charges to 31. He appeared in Wangaratta Magistrates Court on Thursday, where it was heard Robinson would plead guilty to the charges laid by police last year. Court documents seen by The Border Mail in December stated he allegedly groomed two people under 16 for sexual activity and possessed child pornography at his Boorhaman home. MORE NEWS FROM COURT: The new charges served on him just last week could also be resolved when the case comes back to court on August 8. The court refused to release details of the charges to the media until the case returns. It remains unclear how many victims have come forward to police to report alleged sexual assaults committed by Robinson, who founded Wangaratta's Northern Rivers Academy of Music in 1998, but police have confirmed the allegations go back over at least a decade.
