Dale jumped to the top of the goalkicking ladder with a five-goal best on ground display in the 17.14 (116) to 10.6 (66) win.
He's been named in the Saints' top three in the past seven games.
IN OTHER NEWS:
Myrtleford retained third place, but coach Jake Sharp wasn't satisfied.
"I wasn't particularly pleased at our performance, we probably went back to insular and safe footy at times," he said.
"But full credit to Wodonga, the pressure was really good on the ball carrier."
The Saints jumped the home side with a six-goal opening term, but the Bulldogs kicked four to two in the second stanza to cut the margin to 10 points.
However, the visitors rattled on nine to three after the break.
"In the last quarter we were able to break away and get our outside game going and that led to the margin I suppose," Sharp said.
Along with Wangaratta Rovers' resurgence, the Saints have stunned the league, toppling grand finalists Wangaratta last week.
The club has just the two losses after 10 rounds as the first-year mentor has worked to implement his style.
"The main focus this year has been defence and trying to really shore up that area of our game," he said.
"Ball movement has been a focus as well, but most of the work we're implementing has been generated around our defence, if you can be in games for longer through defence, it allows you a better shot at teams."
The match was fiery at times, with one clash involving a host of players, resulting in a report.
Apart from the electrifying Dale, underrated ruckman Tom McDonagh and Liam Harrington were terrific.
However, Paul Harrington was concussed in a first quarter tackle and took no further part.
The elusive Elijah Wales also impressed, while Tom Ellard and Liam Harrington supported Dale's effort with three goals apiece.
Wodonga's Zac Burhop and Tom Johnson finished with two majors each, with the latter joining Jacob Barber, Ollie Greenhill and Gabe Crothers in the best.
The Bulldogs have just the one win and now meet competition leaders Lavington, while Myrtleford should add another win when it hosts North Albury, which also boasts just the solitary victory.
