And the Panthers didn't escape unscathed with veteran Adam Butler (leg) and Tim Hanna (shoulder) forced off, although the latter finished the match.
To highlight the casualty ward, Panther Marty Brennan popped his dislocated finger back in and went back out and played a leading role in the two-goal upset.
"I wasn't aware of that," coach Simon Curtis said.

Butler, 37, has a history of soft-tissue injuries and as soon as he drilled a rare left foot kick to Brennan at the 20-minute mark of the third quarter, he immediately limped off.
"When he kicked across his body (it happened), that didn't look good," Curtis said.
Hanna suffered his injury when he crunched Brayden O'Hara heavily into the ground with 10 minutes left, only for the Tiger to jump back up, while the big Panther came straight off.
However, it's the Tigers who seemingly have the more serious concerns.
Chris Hyde (quad-thigh) and Riley Bice (shoulder) failed to finish the game, while Joel Mackie (hamstring), Luke Packer (upper leg) and Jake Gaynor (shoulder) were severely inconvenienced.
Bice's shoulder 'popped out' in the opening minutes and he was taken to hospital.
Hyde limped off late in the second quarter and had his right leg strapped at half-time, while Mackie underwent a fitness during the break.
He didn't look confident with the trainer and appeared resigned to missing the match.
But the match-ending injuries to Bice and Hyde forced him back on for the second half.
At the 10-minute mark of the final term, he ran to the bench, but was forced to stay on because of the injuries.
Remarkably, he then kicked three goals at full-forward.
Gaynor was also forced to stay on in the final term with his shoulder, while Packer could barely run when he hobbled off late.
Packer, Mackie and Hyde are all 30-plus.
