The Giants were down a shooter, with fellow goaler Lisa Tobin only stepping off a plane on Friday.
Jacinta McLean stepped up in goals for the Giants and came out firing, while Sarah Trainer impressed in the midcourt.
Giants coach Tracey Oates said her side showcased the versatility and depth they have at their disposal.
"Both sides were missing a shooter, so we had to make some adjustments to positions," Oates said.
"Fortunately for us it went in our favour.
"Everyone in the team knew that they had to step up."
Both the Giants and Brookers also showed their support for MND round in the clash, with all players donning special socks during the game.
"It was a good collaboration of clubs supporting the cause," Oates said.
