Wodonga Council has confirmed its main street will re-open next weekend when the third and final stage of the redevelopment which began in 2014 is completed with the exception of some final landscaping works near Woodland Grove.
High Street will be closed at Elgin Boulevard from Wednesday to install a light pole near Sesame Lane and remove the turnaround which has been in place since works commenced in January.

Temporary fencing will be coming down from Thursday ahead of the road re-opening next weekend.
"You will be able to drive down and everything will be back to the new normal," Wodonga Council's infrastructure and projects manager Theo Panagopoulos said in a social media update on Friday.
"I'm really looking forward to next weekend.
"Even though there is only a week to go, please continue to support the retailers.
"Let's give them a good kick before the works finally open next weekend."
The landscaping works near Woodland Grove end will continue into the middle of July, but won't prevent the road re-opening.
A string of businesses in High Street have closed since the works first began.
"To finally be at the end of the works is not only fantastic, but will be a massive relief for the traders," Business Wodonga chairman Graham Jenkin said.
"Hopefully now they can see some daylight and everyone gets down to look at the road and importantly support them.
"This has been a very, very long journey, but after three major disruptions it is good to be finally at the very end of the road.
"You can't recover what you've lost, but the fact some of the shops, which were empty, have got leased signs on them is a positive."
