That was until Saturday.
After 25 straight losses to the Pigeons, the Raiders were finally able to break through by five goals at J.C Lowe Oval for the long awaited victory.
It was a complete turnaround to that of the Raiders performance back in round two, which saw the Pigeons claim a comfortable 22 goal win.
"There was a lot of long time supporters and family members that were excited," Raiders coach Jodie House said.
"Yarra is such a classy unit and you always know that they're going to come back hard.
"The girls really held their nerve."
Raiders are now level with Yarrawonga on six wins and four losses this season and sit two games ahead of sixth placed Albury to round out the competitions top five.

"When I took on the coaching job last year we had such a young side," House said.
"I know there was a lot of people who looked at the side and thought we were a long way off making finals or progressing.
"For me, when you see a bunch of girls that have a level of talent and are prepared to put the work in, not just physically, but mentally, it's amazing the results you can get out of them."
Raiders will now face Wangaratta and Lavington in the next two rounds, with both sides securing early wins against the Wodonga outfit this season.
Yarrawonga will now play an undefeated Corowa-Rutherglen this weekend.
