The BPL Cup was established to bring the highly-successful Bowls Premier League format directly to grassroots clubs in the form of a national pathway.
Winning teams progress to regional and state finals, culminating with national finals during the Bowls Premier League at Brisbane's Club Pine Rivers in November.
ALSO IN SPORT:
Matches are two-bowl triples and consist of two sets of five ends, with a one-end tie-break if required.
Event organiser Sue Thurley has issued a call for more entries ahead of Sunday's opening round to ensure Bowls Australia will continue to hold the fixture in the Albury region in future years.
Entries can be lodged up until Wednesday at www.bowls.com.au/events/BPL-Cup at a cost of $60 per team.
For further information on the event, contact Sue Thurley on 0416 060 286.
