A mutual decision was made by the club and the striker to part ways following the Savoys' 3-0 loss to Boomers at Savoy Park prior to the mid-season break.
But the reigning AWFA league and cup champions have welcomed back veterans Matthew Vaccaro and Michael Sacco.
Vaccaro slotted into the midfield during Sunday's 5-1 loss to Albury City at Jelbart Park, while Sacco is a chance to get back on the park against Cobram at home this weekend.
Myrtleford co-coach Jayden Vescio said Sacco will train with the senior group on Thursday and is "in the mix" for selection.
Jesse Stephens and Sam Morgan will also need to prove they're fit to play at training on Thursday night after missing the weekend's clash.
However, Troy Pawlik has made a solid return to the starting lineup after sitting out almost the entire 2018 campaign with an ACL.
"Matt (Vaccaro) was probably our best on Sunday, which is good looking forward," Vescio added."
OTHER SPORTS NEWS:
After winning its first eight games of the season, Myrtleford has dropped three of its past four games to slip to third spot.
They're currently five points off the pace of leaders Wangaratta and two behind Albury United in second position.
But if history is anything to go by, the Savoys can't be written off just yet.
Myrtleford dropped back-to-back games against Wangaratta and Boomers before the midway point of last season and were without a number of regular senior players due to injury.
They drew with Twin City and lost to Boomers for a second time in round 15, before reversing their fortunes and going on to win every other game to claim their second successive senior men's league crown.
Myrtleford carried that form into the cup finals and went on to capture that piece of silverware for the third straight season.
But Wangaratta will take some stopping from this point, particularly given the signing of former A-League striker Andrew Barisic.
The Red Devils are yet to drop a game thus far, their only blemishes were draws with Albury United (1-1) and Boomers (0-0) in the first half of the season.
