It will cover the full spectrum of textile art with a special focus on Stitching Through Time.

Run from July 6-14, the festival will celebrate 20 years since the first instalment in 1999.

A total of 34 textile artists have created textile works reflecting on their sense of place over the years in the textile enthusiasts' exhibition - A Sense of Place - Yesterday and Today.

These works will be exhibited throughout July at the Bainz Gallery, Wangaratta Library.

A curated market featuring high-quality work by textile artists and craftspeople, the Makers Market, will run on Sunday, July 14, in the Memorial Town Hall at Wangaratta Performing Arts Centre.

The Wangaratta Contemporary Textile Arts Award will run this year at the Wangaratta Art Gallery.

It is a $10,000 acquisitive award, attracting top textile artists from throughout Australia.

Stitchy Central, at Gallery2 Wangaratta Art Gallery, will offer Stitched Up maps and advice to explore exhibitions, workshops and retailers.

A community exhibition Stitching Through Time - A Celebration of 20 Years in textile mediums, such as knitting, weaving, embroidery, applique and patchwork, will be a highlight.
