The Pies lost three games in a month, prior to toppling cellar-dwellers North Albury by 80 points.
Wangaratta captain Michael Newton, boom forward Josh Porter, utility Mat Grossman, on-baller Matt Kelly, rep defender Jamie Anderson and best and fairest runner-up Daniel Sharrock will face Wodonga Raiders on the road on Saturday.
The talented Sharrock injured his knee on last year's corresponding weekend and has played two reserve grade games.
